Total Racing International (TRI) was founded in 2008 with the aim of supporting world-class professional athletes and also developing grass roots athletes that were competing in the sport of triathlon.
By providing sponsor networking and support, first-rate coaching and technical facilitation, athletes soon progressed to maximise their individual potential and produced significant results, most notably Fraser Cartmell’s multiple Ironman 70.3 and Ironman wins.
In 2009, TRI successfully hosted it’s first sporting challenge, the Castles Challenge Triathlon, at Bamburgh Castle, in the heart of Northumberland. The event has seen substantial growth with national and international athletes taking part in a programme of events spanning over a weekend.
TRI now organise mass participation events such as Alnwick Trail Runner, Bike for Bobby Cycle Challenge and the Warrior Beach Assault. 2013 saw the opening of TRI’s London & Newcastle offices catering for expansion in operations incorporating public sports events and corporate challenges. 2014 sees the launch of the Total Racing International Foundation.
Mantra, slogan, motto, call it what you want, but these simple 3 words symbolise the motivating force behind Total Racing International. Whether we are individuals that seek personal achievement in getting to the finishline of a race or as a company wishing to create and develop high profile sports events, both require preparation, determination, and the will to finish in order to be successful.
“Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.” Michael Jordan.
